Dr. Ayman Hawari, Distinguished Professor and Director of the Nuclear Reactor Program, has been named the 2020-2021 Chair of the National Organization of Test, Research and Training Reactors (TRTR).
TRTR supports and represents the interests of nearly 40 academic and nonacademic research reactors in the US. In addition, it facilitates communication, information exchange, and coordination with various entities such as the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and the US Department of Energy (DOE). The reactors represented by TRTR are considered as critical infrastructure for education, research, and technological development. The 2021 TRTR annual meeting will be organized by the Nuclear Reactor Program and will be held at North Carolina State University.
